There are moments during the year when Lake Como transforms.
The days grow longer, the sun feels warmer, and it becomes natural to slow down, choose an outdoor table, and let yourself be carried by everything around you.
It is in this very moment that La Baia’s new seasonal menu comes to life, designed to accompany the beginning of summer with lightness, flavor, and renewed energy.
Sitting at La Baia during these weeks means experiencing something that goes beyond a simple lunch or dinner.
The lake view, the gentle breeze, the slower pace… everything contributes to creating an atmosphere that invites you to truly enjoy the moment.
And the cuisine follows this same spirit.
As summer approaches, La Baia’s kitchen rediscovers and reinterprets Italian tradition, creating a menu where iconic dishes are revisited with a contemporary touch.
The result is a journey that blends memory and freshness, perfectly suited to this time of year.
It begins with the Gran Cocktail of Prawns La Baia style, a great classic of our cuisine, now presented in a modern way: prawns served with our signature cocktail sauce and a fresh guacamole, prepared by Yuri and Emerson, who come from South America, creating a balance between tradition and lightness.
The tomato gnocchi with mussels and mint-flavored sea bass tartare tell a summer story of the sea: fresh flavors, delicate aromas, and a composition that immediately evokes the season. The final touch comes from our Chef Ilario, with the sea bass tartare: truly unique.
With the turbot meunière, the flavors become more pronounced yet remain elegant. Finished in the oven with Mediterranean pine nuts and saltwort, it is a dish that brings balance, technique, and a strong Italian identity to the table.
To finish, a dessert that already tastes like a holiday. Giuseppe has outdone himself: the Babà d’Oriente, with coconut, pineapple, and mango ice cream, fresh and enveloping, perfect for a light and satisfying ending.
This menu is designed to accompany those who sit at La Baia into the summer.
It is not just a selection of dishes, but an invitation to experience a moment.
To choose an outdoor table, be surprised by the light of the lake, slow down, and truly enjoy the experience.
Because at La Baia, the cuisine is only one part of something greater:
a balance between place, atmosphere, and flavors.
The menu will be available until June, accompanying this seasonal transition with fresh, elegant dishes perfectly in tune with the beginning of summer.
